The Central Asian Research Centre for Educational Innovation and Transformation (CARCEIT) has vacancies for Research Assistants. One position is available full-time (40 hours per week), and the other is available part-time (20 hours per week). The positions are based in Astana and successful applicants are expected to work in person at the Graduate School of Education at Nazarbayev University.
The part-time position (20 hours per week) will involve working on a research project on positive early childhood education, in collaboration with the University of Melbourne, and applicants with experience/skills in early childhood or elementary education and qualitative/quantitative data analysis are especially welcome to apply.
The full-time position (40 hours per week) will involve working on a research project on peace education, in collaboration with Cambridge University, and applicants with experience/skills in mainstream school teaching, action research, and qualitative data analysis are especially welcome to apply. This full-time position will also involve work to support the activities of the Centre, including translation, so applicants who can read and write both Kazakh and Russian to C1 level or above will be given preference.
