As part of CARCEIT’s ongoing capacity-building efforts, a workshop on conducting systematic literature reviews (SLR) was held by Assistant Professor Alper Çalıkoğlu on September 16, 2024. The session aimed to enhance the research skills of CARCEIT researchers and PhD students by providing a solid understanding of SLRs, covering their definition, relevance, and key features, along with the main types used in academic research.

The workshop delved into the stages of conducting an SLR, from planning and formulating research questions to defining inclusion-exclusion criteria and conducting literature searches. Participants were guided through the processes of screening and evaluating studies, extracting relevant data, and synthesizing results, ensuring a thorough and systematic approach to their reviews.

The session concluded with hands-on practice, allowing attendees to apply the methods discussed. This practical component strengthened participants' ability to conduct their own SLRs, contributing to their overall research capacity.

This workshop is aligned with CARCEIT’s mission to advance research capacity and foster innovative transformations in education across Central Asia.
