Changing Academic Profession in Kazakhstan: Examining Faculty’s Research Performativity and Accountability in the Post-Socialist Context of Higher Education
By exploring faculty perspectives on research performance, the impact of teaching loads and funding availability, and the effects of policy on professional practices, the project sheds light on the evolving academic profession in Kazakhstan. The seminar will share findings, discuss implications for policy and practice, and provide a platform for dialogue on enhancing faculty support and recognition in regional universities.
The project is led by Aida Nuranova, Professional Learning and Development Expert at the Office of the Provost, supported by Inara Akhmetova, and mentored by Kairat Kurakbayev, Assistant Professor at NU GSE.
If you cannot make it in person, you can attend the seminar online. Zoom link will be sent out prior to the event.
