Title: The enactment of English Medium Instruction (EMI) policy in state and national universities in Kazakhstan: A multi-level, multi-actor perspective
Akmaral Karabay is a PhD Candidate at the Graduate School of Education at Nazarbayev University. She specializes in Higher Education, Policy Enactment, and Language Policy. She is also a Research Assistant for a collaborative research project exploring education in times of disruption. In her own research, Akmaral integrates theories of policy enactment and language-in-education planning to explore how these policies are enacted at various institutional levels, aiming to bridge the gap between policy and practice for more effective educational reforms.
